Does Core 750 have a smell when you first plug it in?
Core 750 may have a faint carbon smell because of the Core 750 Filter containing 250 grams of activated carbon. To get rid of the smell, run the purifier on the fan speed 3 and the smell will dissipate within a couple of days.
What does the red UV Lamp Replacement Indicator light mean?
The red UV Lamp replacement indicator icon means that the Core 750 Lamp will need to be replaced after 2 years. If your purifier is new or under the 2-year period, a quick troubleshooting is to reset the UV Lamp replacement indicator icon.
The Core 750 Lamp may be loose and not making a full connection. Please follow the steps below.
- Turn off the Purifier. Unlock the lock on the base of the purifier by sliding it to the right (The lock is to the left of the cord).
- Carefully lift the top of the purifier with both hands holding the top rim and set the top of the purifier to the side.
- Remove the Core 750 Filter and the UV Lamp protector (black piece in the center).
- Push the Core Lamp protector back into its position (will only insert one direction) and push down to ensure it is fully seated.
- Replace the top of the purifier onto the base, ensuring the two pieces fully engage with one another (no gaps between the top of the purifier and base), and slide the lock mechanism back into place, ensuring the lock is fully engaged.
- Plug your Core 750 purifier back in and power on.
- Hold down the UV light icon for 5 seconds to do a UV reset. If the UV light icon is still flashing, tap the icon a second time to clear any active codes.
If this does not solve your problem or the UV light icon turns back on, please reach out to support@puraclenz.com.
Why does my operational light not work or have any power?
Please make sure you are using the correct voltage: 120V, 60Hz.
If you are moving your purifier from room to room, please make sure the lock on the base is fully engaged and that you pick the unit up correctly. Please reference photo below to how to lift the Core 750:

The blue light on top has turned off. Is my unit still working?
Your unit is working as intended. Regarding the light turning off, we have intentionally designed the Core 750 to have downtime for the crystalline matrix of our coating to regenerate to a more highly reactive surface chemistry. For 20 minutes every 2 hours the UV light turns off, allowing the lamps a rest period which reduces their temperature and extends the operation life of the reactor cell. This downtime is integral to the performance of our technology. All Puraclenz efficacy testing has been conducted with this downtime, and the space is still covered by our ionization during the time that the lights within the units are off.
