Most operational questions and issues can be resolved with this information.
What should I do if only the red lightbulb icon is flashing or on?
Try adjusting the Top Cover. The Top Cover (bronze-colored piece on the top of the unit with the Puraclenz logo printed in white) could be loose.
To fix this:
1. Plug your purifier in.
2. Make sure that the Name "Puraclenz" on the top cover is facing the operational lights. Example below:
3. The Top Cover counterclockwise to loosen it.
4. Turn it back clockwise until you hear an audible click.
5. The unit should power on and operate as normal.
If this does not solve your problem, please contact support@puraclenz.com. Please make sure to have your Puraclenz order number and serial number on the email. Serial number may be found on the bottom of the purifier (Silver sticker).
What should I do if only the red filter light icon is flashing?
This could mean that the Photon Pre-Filter is open.
1. Plug your purifier in.
2. Please remove the Photon Pre-Filter. (If your pre-filter is dirty, change it or order new Photon Pre-Filter ).
3. Reinsert the Photon Pre-Filter press it firmly inside the purifier. When the fit is correct you should hear an audible click.
Can I turn the green light off?
No, the green light is the power light and an indicator the unit is on and working properly.
The green operational light is flashing, is that normal?
If the green light is flashing, make sure that the power cord is fully connected to the receptacle on the bottom of the Purifier. Ensure that you are getting enough voltage. The voltage requirement is 120V.
If that does not solve your problem, contact support@puraclenz.com about the issue.
My fan speed seems low. Is that normal?
The Puraclenz Photon has 3 models, each with a different intake rate of airflow. The higher the airflow, the greater the density of ions being released at the top of each unit. Higher airflow also causes more fan noise. The fan only draws air into our PCO cells as part of the ion generation process. Photon units are not filtering room air as part of the “cleaning” process. The ions our units generate diffuse passively throughout your indoor space.
The blue light inside has turned off. Is my unit still working?
Your unit is working as intended. Regarding the light turning off, we have intentionally designed the Puraclenz Photon purifiers to have downtime for the crystalline matrix of our coating to regenerate to a more highly reactive surface chemistry. For 20 minutes every 2 hours the UV light turns off, allowing the lamps a rest period which reduces their temperature and extends the operation life of the reactor cell. This downtime is integral to the performance of our technology. All Puraclenz efficacy testing has been conducted with this downtime, and the space is still covered by our ionization during the time that the lights within the units are off.
What do the indicator lights on the top of my Puraclenz Photon mean?
